Depending on the time of the year and the number of people training there could be up to 6 standards of training groups going out for a training session. Details of these groups and a guide to the standard for each is below:
Runners should be able to run a sub 45 minute 10km.
Group members compete over various distances and surfaces.
Club training schedule focuses predominantly on interval training.
Runners should be able to run continuously for 10km.
The B Group incorporates improving runners as well as those comfortable at their current level.
Training is aimed at race participation and improvement.
Club training schedule focuses predominantly on intervals training.
For people who are new or returning to running who want to get fit and have fun in a club run group environment.
Programme runs annually for 10 weeks, usually from early March.
Not a specific group but there are usually individuals around who want to just go for a jog/easy run.
