Start at the back of the club house, next to the entrance to the play park on Redgauntlet Road. Run about 2 miles along East and then West King Street to Cairndhu Avenue. Turn left down Cairndhu Avenue towards the waterfront and turn left and run back along West and East Clyde Street to Henry Bell Street. Turn left onto Henry Bell Street and once over the railway bridge, turn right back along East King Street and back to the starting point.
Helensburgh 10km Route

Start on Cardross Road near the junction with Drumfork Road. Run along Cardross Road, turn right up Campbell Drive, right onto Kenilworth Drive, a quick left onto Ashton Drive and right along Waverley Drive. Turn left onto Drumfork Road and follow the road into Redguantlet Road, under the railway bridge and onto East King Street. At Sinclair Street, turn right and run up Sinclair Street until West Montrose Street – turn left here. Run all the way along West Montrose Street and Rhu Road Higher down to the waterfront. Turn left and run along the waterfront for about 400m until Cairndhu Avenue. Turn left up Cairndhu Avenue and then right at the end onto West King Street. Run all the way along West and East King Street. Back under the railway bridge and take a right turn onto Talisman Crescent. Turn left at the end and head back along Cardross Road to the finish at the New Hermitage Academy.
Helensburgh Half Marathon Route
Fast, flat and scenic 13.1miles
Start at the junction of East Clyde Street and Sinclair Street and head along the waterfront through Rhu and Shandon. Take a left turn just before the Peace Camp, veer right and then take a right turn up towards the Clyde Nursery. Follow the road and head under the underpass and once back on the main road head back along the waterfront the way that you had come. Once back in Helensburgh take a left turn up Cairndhu Avenue. At the end of Cairdhu Avenue turn right onto West King Street. Run all the way along West and East King Street and under the railway bridge onto Redguantlet Road. Continue ton Redguantlet Road as it turns into Drumfork Road. At the end of Drumfork Road you emerge onto Cardross Road. Turn right here and head back along Cardross Road and East King Street back to the start point.
Hill House/Rhu Trail
About 5 miles with a long challenging hill through farm/forestry track with beautiful views of the Clyde
Starting at Kidston Park, run towards the town centre and make your way up to the Hill House car park off Upper Colquhoun Street (either by weaving your way up to or running directly up Sinclair Street). Turn left onto the trail at the back of the car park. Follow the trail signs for Rhu Marina and when you come out through the trees onto a wider track, turn left and follow the track along and through farm land onto Station Road. Station Road turns into Pier Road and leads steeply down to the main road. At the bottom turn left and return along the waterfront back to Kidston Park.
Glen Fruin Route

Starting at Kidston Park, run toward Sinclair Street climbing the hill in a zigzag fashion through the residential area. Once on Sinclair Street, continue out of town and turn left onto the Glen Fruin Road. After the downhill the road is fairly flat for about 3 miles and at the junction at about 4½-5miles turn left. After the battle monument, go up and down the steep hill with views over the Arrochar Alps and down the Gareloch and Clyde. When you reach the main road (A814) at Faslane Naval Base, turn Left and take the footpath along the Gareloch through Shandon, Rhu and back to Kidston Park.
Arden Car park to Luss Car park
10-13 miles along Loch Lomondside
Start at the car park for the Inchmurrin ferry which is just off of the Arden Roundabount on the A82. Head right out of the car park and then left through the golf course and the Carrick hotel grounds (there are a number of paths and routes that you can take here). Once through the hotel grounds you come out onto a road, turning left will take you onto the Loch Lomondside Cycle Path which runs alongside the A82, going straight on will take you to Luss. At either the road junction or at Luss Car park you can choose to return to the Arden Car park by following the Loch Lomondside cycle path back or return the way that you came.
